NEWF Bag Weighted Single Leg Squat Holding Strap Exercise

The NEWF Bag Weighted Single Leg Squat Holding Strap Exercise Summary

The NEWF Bag Weighted Single Leg Squat Holding Strap Exercise will leave your quads wishing you never attempted this movement. This movement is similar to a single leg squat, but the added stability of holding onto the strap allows you to dial in the eccentric and concentric motions while adding on weight to the isolated leg. This movement requires flexibility throughout your hips, core stabilization and joint stability in your knees. The focus of this movement is to minimize the movement of your balance leg, maintain proper posture, and perform each rep at a slow and controlled temp.

NEWF Bag Weighted Single Leg Squat Holding Strap Steps

Step 1: Adjust the NEWF Bag shoulder straps to a height that you can hold onto the strap throughout the entire motion. Rack the NEWF Bag on your shoulder (grounded leg side). Hold onto the NEWF Bag strap with the opposite side hand (elevated leg side). Keep the strap tight throughout the motion.

Step 2: Once in this position, begin to lower your body in a squat motion while keeping your free leg parallel to the ground. Try to reach 90 degrees in your working knee.

Step 3: While maintaining proper form, do not bounce out of the bottom, but stay in control of your body and the momentum of your body throughout the movement and return to the start position.
