You can’t forget to train those arms! The positioning of the AR-1’s side grab handles are identical to an olympic barbell, making training seamless from conventional to unconventional. The constant shifting load of the sandbag adds a greater challenge to this basic exercise than you would experience using a dumbbell or barbell. Having strong arms and grip strength is a key component to pretty much every athletic endeavor, but training arms is often over looked in performance training programs. We don’t believe dedicated “arm days” are all that effective or necessary if your end goal is performance, but we 100% do believe mixing in isolated arm exercises during your training session is very beneficial.
